Weston Residence Ryan Associates Landscape Architecture & Planning is pleased to showcase the Weston Residence, an amazing renovation that combines elegance with eco-consciousness. Conveniently located in Weston, this reflects our commitment to successful design and attention to detail for clients across Arlington, Boston, Cambridge, Concord, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Newton, Somerville, and Waltham. The kick-off involved a site assessment, which was a bit challenging due to uneven landscape and soil issues. Our team designed a successful walkaround by performing a unique grading for proper drainage and adding amendments to the soil for a stable planting bed. Some of the more prominent features of the Weston Residence are the custom-designed native planting garden; not just for beauty but for biological diversity, we specified uses of ornamental grasses and flowering perennials as drought resistant bedding education for visitors year-round for three seasons! The rustic stone path built locally from granite allows provisions to walk the property while encouraging the garden to naturally flow path for guests. A great focal point is the custom water feature designed by the team, integrating with surroundings and providing a personal retreat for homeowners and showing attention to detail of natural boulders to merging water to land. Sustainable practices were integral throughout the we incorporate rainwater harvesting systems to irrigate the gardens, avoiding issues with excessive water usage while achieving that desirable "lushness". We designed out a pretty eco-friendly landscape that is also as low-maintenance oasis for the homeowners to enjoy all year round. It turned out the outcome was an amazing landscape to the client's surprise! They obtained a landscape that provided gives them an escape while supporting and showcasing their home.
