Woodland Prairie Design Hilscher Design and Ecology is pleased to share the ‘Woodland Prairie Design,’ a thoughtfully curated landscape which beautifully celebrates the beauty of native woodland and prairie ecosystems. The , located in the picturesque area spanning Bayport to Woodbury, is a reflection of our commitment to ecological design and sustainable practices. The Woodland Prairie Design features a breathtaking collection of several native plant species including beautiful wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and hardy shrubs, designed to flourish in the climatic conditions of the midwestern landscape. These plants not only create visual interest but also provide local wildlife habitat, helping to diversify the area. The use of local materials, natural stone walks and edge treatments, and reclaimed wood garden borders gives an additional weight to our commitment to sustainability. While planning the site, we uncovered a variety of soil conditions, creating a substantial obstacle in terms of pre-site modifications. Our soil analysis shaped the implementation strategies from soil amendments to site-created planting methods, assuring the best growing conditions for every selected species present in the Woodland Prairie Design. The combination produced an green, and thriving experience for our client exemplifying their interest in aesthetics as well as improving ecological processes. The resulting experience of the Woodland Prairie Design has created a space in which our client is enjoying a purposeful outdoor space that is representative of the true beauty of the region. The Woodland Prairie Design is a symbolic representation for Hilscher Design and Ecology in creating outdoor spaces that are diverse in nature, improve habitat for wildlife, and ultimately enhance the outdoor experience for all residents in the larger Twin Cities metro.
