Laurel Hollow by Goldberg & Rodler, Inc. Located in the charming community of Laurel Hollow, Goldberg & Rodler, Inc. transformed a regular property into an exquisite outdoor space that beautifully blends luxury and nature. The entire landscaping contains multiple features designed for aesthetics and function. The main feature of the is a beautiful stone patio made from locally sourced bluestone, which provides a strong and elegant surface for entertaining guests outside. The patio is surrounded by a series of native plant gardens that add to the aesthetic appeal of the space and support local biodiversity. Ornamental grasses, perennial flowers, and a selection of shrubs were selected for their aesthetics but primarily to show seasonality while minimizing maintenance. One of the hurdles of the was managing the natural slope of the landscape. Our team accommodated the slope using a terraced wall system made from dry-stacked fieldstone, for identity and structure. This feature successfully managed water runoff and established distinctive planting zones, allowing for diverse planting in its preferred microclimates. Beyond the gardens and patio, we installed a custom irrigation system that conserves water while ensuring each plant receives water to thrive. The included ambient lighting incorporated throughout the landscape maintaining the beauty of the gardens during evenings while providing a safe, enjoyable outdoor space at night. The resulting outdoor space turned out to be stunning and exceed the client’s expectations. The balance of function, beauty, and sustainability is a true demonstration of Goldberg & Rodler, Inc.'s quality craftsmanship.
