Marina Drive, Hope Ranch The Aldrich Company - Landscape Design was responsible for completing this on Marina Drive in Hope Ranch, establishing our dedication to quality, as well as innovative practices and products in the design and construction of landscapes. Located in the beautiful scenic settings of Santa Barbara, we focused on natural beauty for the site and incorporated sustainability and functionality. This included a wonderful drought-tolerant garden: we selected a number of drought-tolerant native plants that thrive in the local climate. We also used high-weight materials, such as flagstone pathways and natural boulders, to extend the feeling of welcome from the indoor space to the outdoor space. Using permeable pavers adds interest, function, and sustainability by conserving water. Among the many challenges on this specific , was the difficult site to work on due to the slope of the property. Our team creatively integrated planting tiers that optimized the site, provided the benefits of drainage and erosion control. We also designed a custom irrigation system that regulated water to each plant built specifically for sustainability. The result was a beautiful oasis that provided serenity and beauty, highlighted with a seating area in a haven of vegetation and flowering plants. The client was thrilled with the end result and said they loved, "the ," and was pleased with the integration of landscaping function and beauty. The Marina Drive is an excellent representation of The Aldrich Company's mission to create settings that capture the unique essence of Hope Ranch while providing sanctuary for leisure.
