Stay-cation | Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape The Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape 'Stay-cation' turned your average backyard in a house in Fairfax into a family get-away they never have to leave from. We set out to design an alluring outdoor retreat to allow the clients be able to escape at home. The stone patio stone laid in natural flagstone pathways laid which are durable and looks elegant for any conversations. We continued this underieth of the patio with a custom build pergola addition giving it both built in shade while adding an element of class to the patio. The elaborate structure is built from cedar wood, not only for durability but also to give it a natural look to blend in with the surrounding environment. Alongside the hardscaping, we incorporated lush, low-maintenance, naturalistic plantings that promote biodiversity. Different types like the decorative grasses and beautiful flowering perennials were planted and interspersed in such a way that they form their unit as a vibrant hue from season to season. To further our commitment to environmentally friendly practices, we used sustainable materials for our new development. The slope of the area was one of our biggest hurdles as the high maintained the quality of the ground. By utilizing advanced grading techniques, (the water would flow away from the patio, through the landscape beds, preventing both erosion, as well as maintaining the aesthetic value of that space) The end product was an incredible escape; well lit to create space for evening entertaining, along with an outdoor fire pit for cool nights spent outside under the stars. The clients were thrilled with their new Stay-cation space, and to see the hardscape/softscape elements come together as one, along with the amazing craftmanship of bringing their vision to reality. Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape specializes in quality and creativity specific to each individual customer. The Stay-cation not only added character to the property but created a space perfect for family memoriesan inviting refuge where rest and enjoyment's flourish.
