by Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape: Dry Stacked Walls In one of our latest s at Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape, we took a space our client never used, other than to mow 99 weeks out of the year, to finally make it her outdoor living area with beautiful dry stacked walls. With the challenge of marrying these stone walls with the lay of the land, our team set to work in homes that span the thriving communities of Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, and beyond, Our skilled craftsmen carefully hand-picked the highest quality stone in the country to make sure each piece lasts as long as it can, not just in terms of beauty but also of durability. This required very engineering to provide structural integrity while still respecting the organic nature of the materials themselves. Despite uneven terrain and concerns regarding drainage, we used innovative techniques to create a stable solution that will stand the test of time. The outcome is stunning terraced walls, functional retaining walls that are also beautiful and provide intrigue to the land. The client was very happy when they saw the result that perfectly complements the existing garden and outdoor living spaces.
