Each of the native plantings were purposefully planned and planted to maximize their nature-based aesthetics and promote biodiversity within the local landscape. The perennials shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials all added interest to a visually appealing design for twelve months a year. The team sized and implemented tiered garden beds from local materials of bluestone so that stability was managed and higher beds could give rusticity to the house. Water management was taken on as an essential component of the landscape design and introduced a custom rain garden that captures and filters the runoff, promotes sustainability, and maintains property aesthetics. This was included genially and intended to showcase the aesthetics of a family yard for the better-portion of the summer months. A custom drip irrigation system was included in the to keep the landscape refreshed for the family throughout dryperiods.
