About This Project

Narrow View Garden Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design is thrilled to introduce the 'Narrow View Garden,' a landscaping that represents the quality of our work and what we value in our design process. This , located in Pasadena, presented the challenge of making the most of limited space while providing an outdoor area that feels as an extension of the home. This garden takes into consideration drought resistant plants, as well as native shrubs and ornamental grasses, to allow plants to thrive in our Southern Californian climate, while curated beautifully to create layers of texture and color that provide year round aesthetic without the amount of water typically used. The tranquil effect of the permeable pavers in the pathways design not only adds to the garden aesthetically but also facilitates drainage of water, particularly for the rains we receive in Southern California. The narrowness and layout of the garden was one of the challenges we encountered, which required a commitment to thinking vertically in our greenspace design. We incorporated vertical trellises to allow the climbing jasmine and bougainvillea height and depth for a layer of natural privacy. Our team also created multi-tiered planters to enhance planting surfaces and make the most of the limited space to provide a lush area instead of a constrained area. We are thrilled with the final outcome and so are the clients, and the garden enhances the value of the property. The care and thoughtfulness put into the transcends the beauty of the with the local stone and eco-friendly mulch, becoming sustainable work of art.
