About This Project

Midtown Atlanta Courtyard At ServeScape, we are thrilled to unveil the Midtown Atlanta Courtyard. This transformed an urban outdoor space into a fresh experience, and completely transformed outdoor living. Set at the heart of Midtown, this lively courtyard epitomizes our commitment to quality, creativity, and service. The design includes a seamless integration of native plants and contemporary hardscape, uniting the outdoor space in a lush landscape. The permeable pavers enhance the experience of the courtyard and add to stormwater management; handling urban runoff and drainage effectively. One of the standout features of the courtyard is the custom seating area; built from reclaimed wood to provide a rustic, yet warm and environmentally sustainable touch. In addition to this element, we planted a variety of colorful perennials and ornamental grasses around the courtyard that not only enliven the landscape, but provide ample interest and habitat for pollinators throughout all seasons. Each designation comes with unique challenges, and this was no exception, with space requirements and the need for irrigation management for landscape plant health, all with the impact of urban heat. Our team navigated each one of these requirements and installed an efficient drip irrigation system and a layout that strategically identified shade trees to improve comfort and reduce energy costs. The end result is a stunning place created for not only the clients, but their community in Midtown. The design provides a blend of functionality and beauty that has excited our clients, and they are left with an outdoor oasis for gathering and retreat.
