Located in Midtown Manhattan, this takes an overlooked wall and turns it into a true living art piece. With a selection of high-quality, eco-friendly materials, we designed a vertical garden to adapt to city life. A colorful Native Plant design mixed with ferns, succulents, and herbs, highlights the diversity of plants suited to the space while contributing to air quality. Every one of the plants was painstakingly chosen and positioned to keep it interesting throughout the year, weaving a tapestry of color and texture. The houses shortly next to ours blocked a lot of the original sunlight. We researched extensively and built a dedicated irrigation system that efficiently maintains the moisture without using much water. That vertical structure was built using sustainable materials used to help plants grow while still being suitable for outdoor elements. The resulting product is stunning a vertical garden that stops traffic. The client was so excited the garden and was happy to mention that not only did the garden improve the look of the neighborhood but it also helped him escape the busy life that Sydney provided. This is a great example of the quality craftsmanship, design, and innovation Christian Duvernois Landscape/Studio has to offer to these communities ranging from Inwood, Brooklyn, the beautiful Long Island to The Hamptons of Bridgehampton.
