Northport, NY #1 by Sunny Pond LLC Sunny Pond LLC is proud to unveil our most recent landscaping , "Northport, NY #1," a that will elevate outdoor living via thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. Providing services to the surrounding areas of Albemarle County, Greene County, Charlottesville, Ivy, and Harrisonburg, we were excited to present our skills on this distinctive residential site. The consisted of a blend of native plantings, hardscape features, and usable space that achieved aesthetic appeal while still remaining functional. Sunny Pond LLC's process began with a close examination of the existing landscape, ensuring that our approaches would build upon the properties natural aesthetics while fulfilling the client's request specification of creating a getaway. After evaluation of the original site, one challenge found was the landscape's subtle undeveloped slopes, leading to the need for some increased grading and the implementation of a dramatic stone retaining wall made of locally sourced granite as both a material application and fascinating masonry technique to the space, which not only provided structural support, but also added rustic character to the home's aesthetic. It was imperative to incorporate a combination of established trees, lush perennial flowers and colorful shrub varietals that are drought tolerant to form assembled garden beds that create visual layers of interest year-round. And as a conscious principle of Sunny Pond LLC's initiatives with material selection into designs, permeable pavers were selected over standard pavers for the paths to allow proper drainage and low eco-impact. A beautiful special case of design we are proud to show was the custom designed outdoor living space that integrates a fire pit suitable for its surroundings and landscape that is central to the house, and is surrounded by natural boulders that are a great place to hangout and entertaining. It includes a water feature that creates therapeutic calming sounds for wildlife and people alike to appreciate and present an overall feeling of tranquility. The end product simply stunned the clients, offering back yard space regularly used while creating a wonderful getaway that represented their lifestyle and era's appreciation for nature. All in all, Northport NY #1, demonstrated what Sunny Pond LLC is driven to do, which stands for quality, craftsmanship, creativity and customer service satisfaction. The way in which we were able to make a property aesthetically breath taking, while creating a sympathetic outdoor space that the clients can enjoy for years to come warranted an incredible and gratifying experience.
