This landscape architecture is located in the heart of Albemarle County in Charlottesville, VA and features the process of transforming landscape into a wonderful outdoor extension of the property. The design described a combination of native plants, including azaleas, dogwoods, and ornamental grasses, enhancing visual interest and local biodiversity in landscaping. Higher quality materials were selected for modern walkways, such as natural stone pavers, along with a custom-built cedar pergola, all adding aesthetic appeal or durability. One of the major challenges was dealing with the natural slope on property. The landscape crew completed a tiered garden bed solution using locally-found stone retaining walls, keeping the site stable with depth and size. The incorporated drip irrigation for better water management; not only helping with sustainability, but also looking lush. The end result is a welcoming multi-functional space, featuring a comfortable seating area, flourishing garden, and a pleasant water garden area, which relaxed voice travel. The client was thrilled with the new landscape, especially with how it improved their home's curb appeal and provided a quiet retreat with leisure space to entertain.
