Earth Essence Designs Designs Located in the heart of Bethesda, the landscape 'Designs' created by Earth Essence Designs perfectly embodies the charm of nature and the space for outdoor living. With a portfolio including the dynamic communities of Chevy Chase, DC, North Bethesda, North Kensington, Rockville, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, White Oak, Potomac, Wheaton, this embodies our commitment to design excellence in landscape architecture. Featured in the 'Designs' was a thoughtful mix of native plantings, appropriate hardscaping materials and sustainable practices that enhance the space while supporting local biodiversity. We planted a mix of low-maintenance, mostly native plants ornamental grasses, flowering perennials and colorful shrubs to create an ever-changing plant tapestry throughout the seasons. Natural stone walkways and blended blue stone patios were precisely cut and installed using locally sourced material to create functional and beautiful connections between important areas of the landscape. The site was also located on a slope, so we had to get creative with drainage to endure such a landscape, so it was also one of the biggest challenges. Using a more complex grading system and strategically placed dry riverbeds, we were able to mitigate excess water while also making a big visual impact with the design. The end product is a stunning exterior retreat featuring an appealing atmosphere and versatility for family time along with personal time to unwind and reflect. As soon as you enter this land, bright colors play before the eyes, the murmur of water, and the scent of roses comes to the nose. The DESIGN is also in alignment with Earth Essence Designs mission of providing beauty for humanity and nature in one of the most sustainable ways possible through beautiful landscapes that serve and enrich our lives and enhance the beauty of the communities that we cherish.
