Front to Back Landscape by Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. is pleased to introduce the 'Front to Back Landscape' , an example of our dedication to landscaping and quality craftsmanship. Located in La Jolla, the site was thoroughly renovated from front to back, while bringing together form and function. The front yard included a clean, inviting pathway made from locally sourced flagstone that directed visitors through native plant beds while providing an engaging visual experience. Drought tolerant plants were chosen not just for their interest to the eye but also for sustainability. The bright colors of the succulents, along with the ornamental grasses coordinated with the architecture of the home, presenting a pleasant invitation to guests. Moving to the backyard, we were challenged by a steep start. In this case, our crew was able to build terraced garden beds with natural stone retaining walls that complimented the existing landscape. In doing this, we maximized the usable space while stimulating a visual depth for the property. The custom built pergola made from reclaimed wood and built to provide shade offered a great place to relax, or to gather with guests, without fear of being in the elements. To sum up, both form and function became a complimenting use of the outdoor living space. While we get many compliments on s, you can tell they appreciated our attention to detail and desire to implement sustainable materials.
