Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. is delighted to present the 'Front Yard Hardscape' , a striking overhaul that transformed outdoor living for a wonderful client in the lovely neighborhood of La Jolla. It represents our hard work and commitment to quality, creativity and detail, blending form and function while establishing a visually appealing outdoor living space. The process began with a deep understanding of the client’s vision in order to create a positive first impression and a landscape that would require little maintenance. The expert team at Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. came up with a beautiful layout with smooth interlocking pavers forming comfortable walking paths along with an entertainer’s patio space. The durable, high quality stone and natural material that we selected contributed to the look while holding up against the coastal elements. One of the major challenges was the uneven surface and drainage issues that were to be resolved. The skilled team at Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. worked in a logical manner by implementing a strict grading system to facilitate good runoff and stop erosion. It was meticulous but remarkably effective in maintaining drainage and provided the perfect setting for the hardscape elements. Polished finishes were added with the installation of a stone retaining wall that adds character and aesthetic as well as functionality, with the addition of carefully selected native plants for the native soften. Lights added to the outdoors are attractive additions to the craftsmanship of the work, and create a warm ambiance at night. The outcome is a beautiful hardscape that reflects modern beauty yet maintains the surrounding environment of La Jolla. The client was pleased and very happy they had a front yard that matched their style, improved the curb appeal of their home.
