San Diego, Mira Mesa by Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. Located within the site-rich community of Mira Mesa, San Diego, Quetzal Landscapes, Inc., took a basic backyard and turned it into an amazing escape, greatly displaying our dedication to building quality and innovative landscaping. This , finished in late 2023, was developed with a native plant palette, drought-resistant landscaping, and bold hardscape design features that embrace the ecological beauty of Southern California. The started with a detailed design plan to optimize the space and focus on sustainability. The most noticeable item constructed was a beautiful flagstone patio made from local stone, which gives the property a usable outdoor space for entertaining guests. To create visual excitement along the garden, we included a winding pathway lined with colorful succulents and ornamental grasses. Among our most significant challenges with this was the uneven shape of the existing landscape, which required extensive grading and soil preparation to ensure drainage and plant health. Our skilled workmanship included leveling the ground and instilling a custom irrigation system for keeping the landscape alive and vibrant while decreasing water consumption. The end result is a stunning space with functional beauty. The clients were especially pleased with the installation of a tranquil water feature to provide relaxing white noise and attract local wildlife. The addition of shade trees gives extra comfort from the San Diego sun throughout the year. Moreover, the clients are left with a rich landscape that creates immediate value in the property, as well as a peaceful space for relaxing and entertaining outdoors.
