Carlsbad Backyard by Groundswell Landscaping Groundswell Landscaping is excited to introduce the "Carlsbad Backyard" , an impressive outdoor revitalization that has changed how one of our treasured communities will experience their outdoor living. Located in the heart of Carlsbad, this demonstrates our focus on quality and creativity to enhance the homeowner's experience. Our team addressed the set of unique challenges associated with the space, including an uneven grade and limited sunlight in areas of the back yard. This also presented a perfect opportunity for us to utilize a tiered garden design to take advantage of the sunlight while alleviating some of the grading issues. We wanted to procure the highest quality, locally produced stone material for our retaining walls that fit with the rustic and durability of a coastal element. The wraps up with a bespoke patio crafted with high-quality porcelain specs that combined aesthetics and use. We also designed a fire pit from natural stone created for gathering family and friends to experience an evening outdoors together. Surrounding areas were landscaped with a wide assortment of succulent and native shrub varieties to beautify and conserve water. Following functionality, we added strategic landscape light to visually enhance the architecture of the space and create warmth while entertaining guests at night. The functionality of our workflow includes a new irrigation system to ensure the plants thrive and to conserve water usage. The final results are both striking and peaceful, offering the taste and lifestyle of the homeowners while celebrating the natural environment in Carlsbad. Each plan is meticulously curated and detailed to satisfy our homeowners in advancing their dreams.
