Cardiff Room Addition by Groundswell Landscaping Groundswell Landscaping is pleased to introduce the Cardiff Room Addition , an incredible renovation that merges indoor and outdoor living spaces, located in the beautiful environment of Cardiff By The Sea. The addition has natural, stone pathways that lead the eye towards beautiful, drought-tolerant plants, creating a welcoming space. We selected a variety of native plants utilizing bright succulents and fragrant lavender while still reflecting a coastal look. An integral part of the extension was combining the existing landscape with the new addition that improved the overall design of the property without disrupting the natural landscape. Our team carefully graded and sloped the site to improve drainage and resist erosion, using permeable, reclaimed materials to enhance water conservation. Additionally, we included a handcrafted wooden pergola that provides much needed shade, while acting as a point of interest. Reclaimed wood adds warmth, charm, and aims to promote the use of safe, sustainable materials. Ultimately, the finished yielded an inviting outdoor living space that strikes a delicate balance of functionality and aesthetic, and creates an enjoyable environment year-round. Our clients shared their excitement their and how beautifully it transitioned from the room to the living outdoor space. We believe it was a successful extension of their home and another example of Groundswell Landscaping's commitment to providing beautiful, professional landscaping services throughout all of our service areas including Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, and beyond.
