The design utilized beautiful native California plants that create a fun and lush environment accentuating the natural beauty around the area. Some key aspects of the included beautiful custom flagstone walkways made from locally sourced materials creating a smooth transition from the outdoor living space to the pool area. The walkways were lightly edged with colorful Mediterranean plants and vibrant succulents, which were selected for their drought tolerance and low maintenance to be sustainable while staying beautiful. In the Rancho Santa Fe Poolside , one of the biggest challenges we faced was managing the steeply sloping hillside and some drainage issues. The Groundswell Landscaping team tackled that head-on by expertly grading the land and developing a state-of-the-art rainwater drainage solution that was built to protect the investment and to promote plant health. The craftsmanship guarantees water moves away from the pool and home to limit erosion and maintain the aesthetics of the hardscape design. The outdoor centerpiece was an extraordinary natural stone fire pit that fosters socialization. A comfortable surrounding area and accommodating lighting gave the space not only to enjoy the fire pit at night but allow for more time in outdoor spaces throughout the year. In the end, the final reveal was stunning. The pool area is visually connected to the surrounding landscape, creating a placid environment to enjoy while resting or entertaining. At the reveal, the clients were jubilant with their makeover and praised Groundswell Landscaping for its design quality, ingenuity, and customer service.
