Landscape Remodel from Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. Every we undertake is a statement who we are at Quetzal Landscapes, Inc. The 'Landscape Remodel' was no less. In this , we transformed outdoor spaces for our client in the gorgeous coastal community of Del Mar. The represented our commitment to quality, creativity, and environmental sustainability - and was specially designed to meet the climate and esthetic demands of southern California. The remodel included many landscape features - including drought tolerant native plants - which are sustainable, great looking, and good for habitat. We had lovely stone paths made from locally sourced flagstone, which provided a natural pathway through the garden while looking durable. Custom raised garden beds, built with reclaimed hardwood were added for both form and function, as a great home for our clients vegetable and herb garden. The property has slope, which was challenging and was addressed by our talented landscape crew with a terraced landscaping design that served as an eye catching element, but also provided water drainage and soil stability. A sustainable irrigation system using drip technology was built into the garden that reduced water use while keeping the landscape lush. In the end, the was a stunning transformation. A space that was once utilitarian, was turned into a tranquil escape with a sitting area, fire pit, and lighting that welcomes gathering at night. Our client was thrilled with the property and its blend of function and esthetic - and especially the level of maintenance our design would require. This Landscape Remodel has enhanced the property, and somehow connected a sustainable living lifestyle in one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in San Diego.
