About This Project

Historic Austin Estate D-CRAIN Design and Construction proudly presents the transformation of the Historic Austin Estate, a renovation that blends timeless beauty with modern landscaping practices. Located in the center of West Lake Hills, this expansive estate presented various difficulties with its sloping lot, along with protecting and preserving the mature oak trees. Our team built tiered garden beds out of locally sourced limestone, which pairs well with the Estate's historic architecture. Native drought-resistant plants were planted for sustainability and to showcase the Estate's natural beauty. A meandering flagstone path leads visitors through flower gardens and tranquil sitting areas, all positioned to maximize the views of the landscape. A peaceful water feature was installed, serving as a focal point to the gardens, naturally attracting wildlife. Our quality craftsmanship is seen in all of the , from the stone work to the intentional selection of plants that peak and bloom at different times, providing year-round interest. The was completed with an incredible outdoor living space with a custom built pergola, making the perfect atmosphere for entertaining guests or relaxing with a book and a cup of tea, watching the evening stars. Our delighted clients praised us on how we successfully mixed modern landscaping practices with the historic architecture of the estate, creating a functional outdoor space while preserving its beauty.
