The extraordinary transformation turned a bland yard into a peaceful sanctuary, and clearly illustrates the skill and commitment of Winston Fayer Landscape Design to excellence and the art of design in creating individualized outdoor environments. The involved a complex arrangement of elements that blended functional and natural elements with modern design to produce a remarkable result. A mix of native plants were specifically chosen to create a garden that would be dynamic throughout the seasons while adding to local biodiversity. Lush ferns, show-stopping hydrangeas, and aromatic lavender helped to create a sensory experience appealing to sight and smell. In a practical sense, an elaborate flagstone path was constructed to build a path through the garden, while at the same time making it functional. The use of local stone added both durability and rustic beauty. In addition, inviting sitting areas were introduced along the path, to support relaxation, but could also be used when friends or family were visiting. A daunting challenge of this was the unevenness of the terrain. Our team successfully engineered progressive flower beds that met the elevation challenge while introducing visual interest to the site. This method of grading allowed for drainage of any excess water in the landscape, so the plantings would flourish long past the inaugural season. The final centerpiece of this plan is a quiet water feature, which serves as a pond filling with a variety of plants and the sound of gentle water. It creates a perfect escape from the busy world we live in. Lighting was planned to provide an ambiance throughout the evening while showcasing the beauty of the natural materials used in the garden. At the completion of the , our clients were ecstatic to see their vision take shape. The Lush Garden holds their style while demonstrating the quality of the design and craftsmanship we take pride in as a company.
