MANIFESTO, a plan that embodies hope and strategy to create diplomacy and immortalizes the integration of exotic with the ordinary, made the perfect landscape design that celebrates this little corner of genuine wilderness encased in a cold urban setting. The has been developed with a beautiful landscape, detailed tile work, and soothing water bodies combine aesthetics. The garden features a central fountain covered in hand-painted Moroccan tiles with calming sounds reminiscent of a traditional Moroccan courtyard. Native plants including scented jasmine and flowering bougainvillea encircle the fountain in a sensory delight, palms are positioned to establish a sense of enclosure and intimacy. The materials for the were chosen with New York's climate in mind, but still result in an authentic Moroccan quality. Pathways are created in hand-cut stone, welcoming guests to meander through the garden and touch the vegetation. Using local terracotta pots gives it a sense of authenticity, and by virtue creating niches for bright succulents and flowering plants. The existing hardscape presented one of the challenges during the -how to blend the garden with the hardscape, creating a seamless transition from the outdoor living space to the lush garden. Christian Duvernois Landscape/Studio treated the elevation shifts and drainage issues with design ingenuity, creating a utilitarian but stunning landscape. The end product is a beautiful Moroccan garden that adds to the property appeal and also serves as a peaceful oasis for the homeowners.
