MT Movement by Duke's Landscape Company Located in the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado, the 'Mountain Movement' with Duke's Landscape Company demonstrates the perfect mix of a stunning location and high-end residential landscape design to change a very challenging property on a hillside into a beautiful landscape in a curated outdoor living space. Served to the communities of Applewood, Arvada, Cherry Hills Village, Denver, East Pleasant View, Genesse, Goldent, Idledale, West Pleasant View and Westminster, our team worked with the unique elements of this property to create an outdoor living environment that was like a portion of the surrounding mountainous landscape. The landscape was designed in a multi-tiered style, using native and drought resistant plants to not only preserve the environment but to also enhance the environment close to the mountains and make it sustainable going forward. Our certified landscape installers used quality materials, including local stone for the retaining walls and stone pathways; these provided structural support and synergy with the changing landscape conditions and the mountainous landscape. One design consideration the site had to be worried was prospects of steep slopes so we had to add erosion control with terraces to create useable space and keep the mountain views. The landscaping had a water feature as one element designed with cascading waterfalls; there was a a fire pit with natural boulders surrounding this elevated area for the family to connect with and relax outside. Plants - over thirty - were chose for their seasonal interest to keep the space beautiful in all four seasons. The ended with adding LED night lights to help the landscape enjoy the night; an opportunity for the landscaping to take on a new life.
