This beautifully blended a contemporary lap pool with a large outdoor living space to enhance form and function. The lap pool occupies the heart of the ; it was constructed using beautiful, sturdy materials that provide durability and low maintenance needs. The pool is surrounded by a thoughtfully planned patio of large-format porcelain tile that provides a serene and inviting outdoor space to relax and exercise in the area. The material selection created an ultra-modern aesthetic that also has a slip resistant surface so safety did not have to be sacrificed for style. The landscaping consisted of native plants and shrubs that would add year round interest and color as well as requiring less water to maintain a healthy look in the landscape. A medley of ornamental grasses and flowering plants provided interest and seasonal color that can be appreciated while enjoying the pool space. One of the challenges this presented was the existing slope that was present throughout the whole yard. Our designers at Verde Creations, Inc. included terracing design elements that led to a flat pool space, drainage run-off, and erosion control where needed. Creating the useable flat space also provided valuable depth and dimension to the overall landscape plan. The concluded with a well balanced atmosphere, beautifully melding architecture with nature. The lap pool maintained a modern rectangular aspect, while lush vegetation beckoned family and friends to enjoy this quiet new retreat space. The client was truly excited to enjoy their modern oasis that served a purpose not only for fun and entertainment, but fitness as well.
