Ocean View Outdoor Living Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design is pleased to share an overview of "Ocean View Outdoor Living," a breathtaking outdoor space renovation for a client in beautiful coastal Malibu. Our client's vision for the called for a beautiful and inviting outdoor space that integrated comfortably with the amazing landscape while supporting functional and appealing space. This outdoor space is an inspiring balance of lush native plants, sustainable hardscaping, and cozy spaces to gather together, relax, or entertain. The materials selected for the support our commitment to quality and enhancement of the beauty of the landscape. The team chose stone from local sources and sustainably harvested hardwood decking to further showcase the natural beauty of the landscape. A custom-built firepit and comfortable seating areas encourage family gatherings and enjoyment of evenings together under the stars. A key challenge of the was to address how to deal with drainage without compromising design elements given the coastal climate. Our team incorporated a functional and stunning permeable paver system into the design to address the drainage issues and provide a stunning material to the outdoor space. The end result is a stunning outdoor oasis featuring ocean views, vibrant plant life, and functional spaces for quiet times or informal gatherings - taking full advantage of the mild coastal climate and continuity with the surrounding nature. Our thoughtful approach for the design and scope of work led to a delighted client and an outdoor space they can enjoy year-round. Ketti Kupper Conscious Life Design views each as an opportunity to enhance quality of life for the people impacted, and we feel Ocean View Outdoor Living is a beautiful example of that.
