Pool and Spa by Graham Kimak Landscape Designs Situated in Upstate South Carolina, Graham Kimak Landscape Designs completed a glorious "Pool and Spa" that will take outdoor living to a new level for our sophisticated clientele. The took a typical backyard and created a calming escape, blending elegance with the natural setting of the home. As is quite often the case, our initial challenge included working with a sloping site which prompted advanced planning and some creative engineering on our part. We developed a tiered design that tied together the pool, spa, and surrounding landscape to achieve a beautiful functional outcome. High quality natural stone was utilized for the pool deck and spa surround, a continuation of natural beauty draw from the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains. The highlight of the is the custom designed infinity pool that flows seamlessly to a calming spa, both outfitted with advanced filtration and heating system. Surrounding the pool and spa, we decided to accentuate native plantings of ornamental grasses and flowering perennials that increased visual interest while promoting biodiversity. To assist in guiding guest from the home to the pool, we provided a stone path outfitted with soft organic lighting to provide a welcoming touch. To say we were detail oriented during the is probably an understatement. From sourcing sustainable materials to precision of installation, our input was as vital to the outcome as our initial designs. Overcoming obstacles related to the slope and also properly resolving drainage requirements will be paramount in assisting the to succeed.
