Steps of Stone Slab This is a completed by Graham Kimak Landscape Designs. 'Steps of Stone Slab'' represents our commitment to outdoor spaces that are functional yet artistic. Located in the beautiful regions of Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina, we had the opportunity to create a beautiful pathway that will blend with the nature surrounding it. The centerpiece of this was the selection of natural stone slabs, which were all sourced within the local area, offering long-lasting durability with an ageless aesthetic. Each slab was carefully selected based on its unique texture, and color, which creates a cohesive design transition to its surrounding landscape. Our team competently placed in the field and made certain each was level and secured, while also permitting for natural drainage to avoid pooling water. Our primary obstacle in moving forward with this was the steep incline of the site, which required an engineering solution and forethought. We managed this by installing the stone steps in a tiered arrangement, offering a safe passageway through the gradient and providing visual interest in the garden environment. Integrating native plants along the edges of the stone steps lends a green border that promotes biodiversity, simultaneously softening the stone's rugged surface. In the end, we created a beautiful set of stone slab steps showcasing the passageway through the garden and inviting guests to enjoy it. The client was very pleased and commented on the success of achieving function balanced with artistry. Overall, this directly enhanced the usability for this section of the property while adding beauty to the general landscape as a whole. This was a great collaboration of landscape craftsmanship.
