Gates, Walkways & Paths by Graham Kimak Landscape Designs Located in the beautiful landscape of Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina, the 'Gates and Walkways & Paths' by Graham Kimak Landscape Designs is a demonstration of our quality in honesty and creativity in landscaping. The objective of this was to add beauty and function to a residential home by creating a space that invites you in and connects you to the landscape. The design team used natural stone that was sourced locally, as well as pavers that were high-quality, durable, and weather-resistant, to create a range of walkways and entrances that are elegant and engaging. The team sought materials that can withstand the test of time, while at the same time complement, and enhance, the landscape that already exists at the home. The posed challenges such as uneven ground and existing plant material and our team overcame the difficulties by skillfully grading the land to soften the transitions between elevations and to protect mature trees and existing plant material. We also included appropriate drainage to handle the flow of water to avoid erosion of dirt or stone, while protecting the integrity of the walkways. The final product is an impressive sequence of walkways that lead visitors through the elaborate gardens and go to an incredible entrance gate that is gorgeous in its own right and draws the eye. The fusion of practicality and art results in an outdoor space that has high function and aesthetics which draws people in to enjoy everything the surroundings have to offer. The client was ecstatic with the end result and it was illustrated that the combination of beauty and function shown in the plans, added value to the outdoor space. Graham Kimak Landscape Designs continues to strive toward creating incredible outdoor spaces that delight and inspire and elevate the beauty of Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina is still alive and well!
