Wildflower Lakeside Residence Wildflower Lakeside Residence, completed by Pellettieri Associates, Inc., is a stunning combination of nature and function by the lakeside. The was located in idyllic areas near New London, showcasing our dedication to quality and craftsmanship in landscaping. The hallmark of this is a colorful wildflower meadow, designed consciously to attract local pollinators and improve the ecological backdrop of the property. Native plant species, such as Black-eyed Susans, Coneflowers, and Milkweed, create a colorful design that varies from season to season, providing year-round visual interest. The incorporation of drought tolerant plants reduces water usage and provides an attractive landscape that is adapted to the local climate. The team faced several challenges during the nature-based , including working with uneven topography, and the requirement for improved drainage around the lakeside. Several rain gardens and permeable pathways were added to help with water, while providing a pleasing aesthetic. Locally sourced stone was used for the pathways to reinforce the organic feel of the landscape and transition nicely to the surrounding environment. The end result is a gorgeous outdoor space that can be utilized, relaxing and enjoying a custom-built sitting area overlooking the lake, encouraging the family to enjoy their outdoor environment.
