West Linn Residence by Drake's 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center: Tucked away in the scenic community of West Linn, the West Linn Residence showcases the artistry and craftsmanship that we at Drake's 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center apply to all our s. The transformation also provided a complete landscaping installation that combines modern natures with functional outdoor spaces, native landscaping, and the homeowners style and needs. Working through a thorough site analysis that highlighted existing onsite elements, we were able to capture the essence of our client and the site to begin a process of development of ideas. The biggest issue to tackle was the slope of the hillside, demanding creativity to engineer a successful drainage system and also for accessibility. Our designers used locally sourced basalt stone blocks to create a series of terraced gardens with durable retaining walls to manage water and enhance the design of the landscape area. Native plant species were included in the design as they contribute to sustainability and biodiversity. Brightly colored perennials, ornamental grasses, and hardy shrubs were sown at the ground plan both to create texture and color during all the seasons of the year as well as to attract the wildlife existing in the area. We designed a flagstone walkway to appropriately welcome guests to the burgundy home (and of course, it leads right into the calming gardens); solar path lights are sprinkled throughout the yard so that visitors have a safe passage during nighttime walks too. The also included a significant outdoor living area. There is so much more to come here, but for this year, we created a large entertaining and family friendly patio made from good quality pavers. The area features a built-in fire pit surrounded by seating that adds comfort and warmth to any gathering any time of year. A water feature, complete with a gentle bubbling fountain, added to this even more, providing soothing sounds that beckoned relaxation.
