SW Portland Home Drake's 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center Tucked away in beautiful SW Portland is the artistic 'SW Portland Home' completed by Drake's 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center. This sprawling landscaping overhaul aims to accentuate the property whilst providing a place for outdoor activity that is well integrated into the environment. The redevelopment involved a carefully designed plan featuring a wide variety of native plants, colorful flower beds and foliage providing color and texture through all four seasons. To make entrance more inviting, we laid custom stone path from local basalt pavers, leading elegantly to the garden. A granite stone water feature is the design focal point, providing tranquillity while attracting local wildlife and aiding the ecological balance. The photos here show the technology used to get a level base for the patio and other landscaping features on our property given the overall (hilly) characteristics of the site. This posed a challenge for our talented team who solved the elevation issues using an innovative tiered landscaping method which also provided visual interest and depth to the overall design. We then chose drought-tolerant, Pacific Northwest climate-appropriate plants to make it easy for the homeowners to care for their garden sustainably, too. The outcome is a beautiful and functional composition that provides spaces to sit, wonderful seasonal colors, and discreet lighting that turns the garden into a magical place after dark. The smiling homeowners praised the detail-oriented and high-caliber workmanship that turned their vision into a reality. The 'SW Portland Home' is a perfect exemplar of Drake & 7 Dees mission to design beautiful landscape architecture solutions to fit the specific wishes of each client in the greater Portland area!
