Commercial - Pell Hotel Charles Earl Landscape Architecture LLC is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Pell Hotel landscaping in Newport, Rhode Island. This marries great design and quality craftsmanship because we serve commercial clients in East Greenwich, Jamestown and beyond. The Pell Hotel landscaping features a rich combination of native plantings, sustainable materials, and fine hardscaping that builds on the hotel’s architectural aesthetics. Our landscape architects chose low-maintenance vegetation that thrives in coastal climates, including ornamental grasses and flowering perennials, managing to provide vibrant shrubs that bring interest in each season, as both the vegetation and hotel reflect local biodiversity. The Pell Hotel’s proximity to the shoreline presented one of our 's main issues, requiring the solving of proper drainage for stormwater runoff. I praised our landscape architects for designing permeable paving in outdoor gathering areas for proper drainage all the while, enhancing aesthetics. We also integrated natural stone to build retaining walls, which added not only structural integrity, but attractive visual interest throughout the landscape. As a result we created a beautiful outdoor space that offers inviting space for guests to relax. Guests will find tastefully designed seating areas that are nestled in lush vegetation; a calming meditation garden; and paths throughout to also recommend exploration. The design is seamless and invites a transition from the indoor guest experience to the hotel property. The Pell Hotel Landscape is an important that represents Charles Earl Landscape Architecture LLC's values of quality, creativity, and satisfaction. The hotel management told us they are thrilled with the guest experience the new landscape is a nice touch, while enhancing their property and the atmosphere of Newport's coastal beauty. This , we believe, demonstrates our capacity for quality work, and to continue building outdoor spaces that are an outdoor extension of not just a landscape, but important part of the total guest experience.
