Outdoor Entertaining Garden Area The Outdoors Entertaining Garden Area completed by SHC Nursery & Landscape Co. is a prime example of our quality and creativity while serving the beautiful towns of Eagle, Edwards, Wolcott, Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Gypsum, and Eagle-Vail. This spectacular took a backyard that had been underutilized and turned it into a lively outdoor extension of the home to socialize and enjoy the outdoors. The design includes a large stone-paved patio made with locally-sourced flagstone for a lasting and attractive outdoor furniture and eating area. This patio is enhanced with a custom pergola inlaid with climbing vines for added shade and beauty. The patio is featured with beautiful and functional outdoor lighting for evening entertaining. A key design consideration was the uneven sloped terrain of the property. Our landscaping team managed to "aestheticize" the grading by integrating sufficient slope for drainage and then leveled the ground. We used native plants and colorful perennials that tangle up with any weeds and allow for an excellent visual without much maintenance nor wildlife impacts. The fire pit area included natural boulders surrounded by seating, enhancing comfort and ambiance for cool evenings outside. While a fire pit is obviously long utilized for warmth, ours for the outdoor entertaining area served to anchor the space together with the seating area. The results exceeded the client's expectations, and they stated the space was everything they dreamed for an outdoor entertaining area. The feedback is very positive, as they stated the garden area created new life into their home and provided a perfect venue for family and friends to connect.
