Relaxing Garden Space by SHC Nursery & Landscape Co. The 'Relaxing Garden Space' constructed by SHC Nursery & Landscape Co. is located in the heart of Eagle County and turned an average yard into a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy nature. SHC Nursery & Landscape Co. provides services to the communities of Eagle, Edwards, Wolcott, Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Gypsum, and Eagle-Vail. In constructing this extensive landscaping , our team lent preparation and creativity to it. The design consisted of an elaborate design of perennial flowering beds, blooming shrubbery, and a collection of native plants that can be grown in our environment. The materials specified are all sustainable and locally sourced as much as possible, applying natural stone for pathways and seating areas, and focusing on local products as much as possible for scent and thickness so the would be aesthetically pleasing, in addition to lasting a long time. Underneath the aesthetic beauty of landscape construction lies an adaptation of the landscape to meet challenges, such as: uneven topography in some areas along this property, and limited sunlight access in some areas of the property. Other areas were designed to accommodate local residents, such as garden areas with a special variety of plants that thrive under our climate for perennial flowering beds using plant varieties recommended for this type of environment to create a beautiful array of plants and scents, while in turn creating an interest in the garden areas when not in bloom. We also worked in a small water feature so the sound of water flowed to attract local fauna, motivated to stop in for a drink at the water feature as needed. Constructing meandering garden beds and seating areas created a beautiful, functional space, with seating areas both intimate and relaxed, and spaces that may be used to deliberate or think, beside enjoying the relaxing sounds and sights of the garden. The end result is a combination of function and natural beauty. Our client was delighted to stake their claim to this outdoor oasis. Together, once again, with family returning home again for a holiday gathering or large gathering of family and friends. The first outdoor space of this type was reconstructed into an outdoor with beautiful scenery to allow piquing of interest and the anticipation of family sharing and repeating traditions, while relaxing in the scenery of nature.
