French Strait Lane 2 Harold Leidner Landscape Architects finished the French Strait Lane 2 in North Dallas, which serves as a remarkable representation of good landscaping design. This large-scale not only demonstrates our commitment to quality and creativity, but also the conversion of a generational residential space to a picturesque garden space. The combines a cohesive plant palette, elegant hardscape elements, and recyclable materials to create a landscape that is good for the site and is sustainably designed. We intentionally selected drought-tolerant vegetation that would normal in a Texas environment, including colorful flowering plants and a tree canopy that displays seasonal changes. To proper function of the ecological space, species selection included permeable paver systems and natural stone pathways to stay within the garden space, while additionally propping water conservation. Blending the existing topography with the client’s purpose for utilizing the outdoor space presented design obstacles. We created terraced gardens and carefully placed boulders in the construction of the garden space, along with various elevations that created a layered landscape appealing to the existing site issues with the client’s intent for the out door space. Overall, the allowed for a seamless relationship with the house and garden spaces, allowing for ease of use for outdoor entertaining and uses. One distinct aspect of the included a water feature that became the focal point of the . Covers the garden area with soothing water sounds, with the use of locally sourced stone used to create a form of faux nature; asymmetrical shaped stone constructed to produce “natural” water flow.
