English: Princeton Harold Leidner Landscape Architects completed the 'English: Princeton' , which showcases classic elegance and modern utility for a discerning homeowner located in North Dallas. This expansive residential landscape features an incredible plant palette of native species designed to create a lush, welcoming retreat that compliments the home with extraordinary architecture. At the centerpiece of the design is a beautifully organized formal garden with sophisticated bluestone paths meandering through intended seasonal flower beds of color. The use of long-lasting and durable material including natural stone and premium hardwood enhance the function and form of elevations. The space includes a water feature that is meant to be a focal feature while welcoming in the sounds of a water feature while supporting the local wildlife and habitat. One of the challenges of the site was the varied topography with drainage conditions. The team smartly designed a solution with the appropriate grading of the space and installed a French drain system to manage water efficiently, maintaining the visual integrity of the grade. This foresight not only protects the value and investment, but supports the health of the plant materials around it. The end product of this is not only a beautiful landscape, but one that meets and exceeds the clients' expectations.
