About This Project

Sustainable Landscape Partner Located in the middle of the Denver Metro area American design & landscape's 'sustainable landscape partner' is a shining example of how we can design and build to align with eco friendlier practices. This landscape transformed into a synthesis of both emphasis on function and cleanliness whilst interacting naturally, rather than simply existing, through productivity and aesthetics. It included a xeriscape garden using Colorado native plants that are drought resistent and have been acclimatized through the years. This decision not only minimizes the amount of water used, and is also beneficial to local biodiversity. We used permeable pavers as they allow water to soak through and help reduce runoff and increase groundwater recharge which is very important in metropolitan areas. Like any other region, this area has its challenges and one of the tough ones that we encounter was the rocky terrain that was pretty characteristic of the Denver area so we had to use specialized methods for soil preparation and planting. With the exceptional team we have, we were able to face these challenges head on with the assistance of modern excavation devices and soil geotextiles that further enhanced the substrate to support the selected flora. We added a rainwater harvesting system here, so the homeowners can collect and use rainwater to irrigate, making the landscape even more sustainable. They included windy paths built from reclaimed wood, generating spaces for comfort and use. When we finished, the changed the outdoor area into a vibrant, green, oasis, and the client was delighted with how beautifully sustainability was incorporated into her life.
