Courtyard Ambiance The Courtyard Ambiance is an amazing Denver Metro transformation we are pleased to present by American Design & Landscape. The brief was to create a tranquil outdoor sanctuary that effortlessly marries nature with sophistication. Durable, attractive pathways of hand-laid flagstone from local quarries grace the courtyard. The plantings are lush, low-maintenance, and naturally occurring, enhancing biodiversity in the space despite being manmade this dust bowl is green year-round. A bespoke water feature with a gentle waterfall provides a soothing sound and attracts wildlife to the sanctuary. This faced one of the biggest challenges which is the rough land and less drainage. Our talented team designed a complete drainage solution to correct the water pooling issues while seamlessly integrating with the overall design flow. This clever use of raised flower beds added to the layers of interest but also functionally helped with drainage without detracting from the beauty. Shining lights on the pathway, and accentuating features to enhance the natural environment were a few ways in which we provided ambient lighting as a comfortable touch for evening hangouts. The end product is equal parts functional and beautiful, a space for our clients to relax and host.
