The implemented a lush, extraordinary garden design that was layered with a material palette of native plants, flowering perennials, and ornamental grasses to ensure continuity of interest throughout the seasons. In addition, we utilized on-grade materials that included locally sourced river stone for the pathways and a custom cut bluestone for the patio to provide weather resistance while maintaining visual integrity of the surface. Due to the challenging conditions of a small urban lot, we incorporated creative vertical gardening solutions and strategically placed raised beds within the given space to maximize use while providing elements of biodiversity. A charming pergola was also installed, adorned with climbing vines, which not only provided beauty, but also shade, key to creating a perfect nook for the homeowner to enjoy. The design also incorporated a water feature designed with stone from the home, paired with natural stones to create a calming element through water features, where the sounds can transport the homeowner during moments of repose. The Four Seasons Team exhibited phenomenal craftsmanship along with consideration of logistical constraints, as well as existing infrastructure of the home, completing this perfect outcome. The eventual completed outcome is a harmonious landscape design that could not have been achieved any other way!
