Life on the Lake Located in the tranquil setting of some of Michigan's best lakeside communities, Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape is proud to present a landscaping d 'Life on the Lake.' This stunning landscape renovation was completed for a selective client located in the prosperous area of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In this case, we were able to combine the beauty of nature with functional outdoor living. The began with an in-depth consultation, where we examined the unique topography and existing plant life around the site. The landscape provided challenges, particularly with uneven topography and limited access and egress due to multi-lakes on property. We embraced these challenges with creative solutions in a thoughtful design. To preserve the natural character of the lakeside, we designed a multilayered garden that intricately aligns with the land contours. We used locally sourced natural stone for retaining walls and pathways that weather well and are beautiful. Using appropriate native plant material, we created an explosion of seasonal color and texture with native wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and shrubs carefully placed to thrive in the region and attract local fauna. To facilitate a seamless indoor out design shift, we designed a large composite deck with built-in seating that would readily accommodate entertaining family and guests while taking in the lake view. The attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of construction from ensuring the most sustainable sustainably sourced materials to the limberness of vision to quality installation techniques. The is now a stunning lakeside escape, with a custom burning pit area where one can find peace and solace under the stars. The end product far exceeded expectations, and the client is ecstatic with their new outdoor escape because it embodies the essence of the Life on the Lake.
