Mexican Style in Pasadena Sacred Space Garden Design Inc. is excited to share the , 'Mexican Style in Pasadena,' which has repurposed the iconic imagery of warmth and interest found in traditional Mexican landscapes. Located in Pasadena, our commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail can be seen throughout the . In this design, we implemented many varieties of drought-tolerant plants, including bougainvillea, jasmine, and agave. Each plant was chosen specifically for their hardiness in the climates of California and their visual characteristics to make the landscape feel as though it could be in Mexico. To tie the design elements to Mexico, we included artisanal terracotta pots, vibrant decorative tiles, and rustic stone pathways to weave guests through the enchanting garden. One challenge we faced with the design was how to integrate how the existing land formed the design. Our team was diligent toward planning the grading of the land to ensure proper drainage while maintaining the beauty of the natural site. Another note-worthy aspect was creating usable outdoor spaces, so we designed a warm, cozy outdoor area with an adobe-style fireplace to encourage interaction and rest. The final results were nothing less than breathtaking! The outcome surpassed the client's expectations, and though it was subjective, the colors, textures, and layouts provided a distinct sense of peace and joy. The client recognizes the old world design style and the way Sacred Space Garden Design Inc. honored their vision of a Mexican style garden while merging beauty and sustainability. The landscape not only enhances the visual appeal of the property but serves as an example of how culturally reflective landscapes can exist in an environmentally safe way.
