Urban Backyard Makeover by Urban Oasis Design & Construction LLC At Urban Oasis Design & Construction LLC, our expertise lies in enhancing outdoor areas as the epitome of retreat and relaxation. As proven in the recent Urban Backyard Makeover , we are committed to creating extraordinary outdoor spaces. Based in Seattle, the Urban Backyard Makeover allowed us to rethink and reinvigorate a small urban space and the owner's wish to create a functional yet aesthetic landscape. Our designers accepted the challenge to bring together a multi-tiered garden, a custom cedar deck, and a fire pit; all while meeting the owners' desires to have a good flow from one feature to another and access to them. The team used resources that were luxurious and sustainable, such as locally sourced stone pavers and reclaimed wood, to improve the backyard space and provide longevity against the weather. The most significant challenge we faced was the limited space, and how to maximize it without losing out on aesthetic quality or functionality. To meet this challenge, we created a vertical garden that provided as much greenery as possible while enhancing privacy. The landscape architects also recommended using primarily native plant species to create a barely maintained habitat with great biodiversity. The result was truly a beautiful spectacle: a private backyard oasis with plenty of greenery, seating, and a fire pit that created an all-weather entertaining area. The detail and craftsmanship impressively made our client ecstatic our designs, and we were extremely proud of our craftsmanship.
