Great Design Plants by Le Jardinet Le Jardinet is pleased to introduce our 'Great Design Plants,' a landscape design that demonstrates our design excellence and innovation. This presented a great design opportunity for clients from various communities in the Greater Seattle area including Bellevue, Redmond, and Woodinville. The clients requested a welcoming outdoor space that would integrate seamlessly with the natural beauty of their property but also provide a living space for rest and recreational activities. We selected an exciting range of unique native plants to create an animated and visually attractive site. The palette consisted of a range of colors and textures, containing native plants such as the iconic Pacific Northwest rhododendron, unsurcharged ferns, the beautiful heuchera, and fragrant lavender, to provide visual interest and sustainable landscaping throughout the year. Furthermore, we had to address a variety of challenges, including poorly drained grounds and garden beds with stagnant, uneven terrain. Our team proposed solutions to the client that involved soil amendments and modern terracing to maximize a lush garden design. The use of permeable pavers for creating surfaces for pathways was useful here. This created a vibrant interaction with the site, improved aesthetics, and maintained quality drainage relationships while minimizing the potential water logging and erosion. In the end, we provided our clients with a landscape experience that far exceeded their expectations. The design of our outdoor spaces included comfortable furniture and seating areas, a small fire pit, and trails and paths that invited exploration. The play of color, form, and texture provided a backdrop for entertainment and refuge alike, offering visual paths among happy and serene blooms against verdant foliage. Great design is more than just aesthetics. Great design is creating a place where memories are made.
