This extensive landscape was founded with a singular concept: design an outdoor oasis that gently coexists with the natural beauty of the surroundings. The design borrows from both a sophisticated layout of drought tolerant native plantings, as well as a rich array of lush Mediterranean plantings and hardscaping elements. Locally sourced stone pathways traverse the property while providing durability and coexistence with nature, and welcomed our workers and homeowners alike through from planting to the end of construction. One of our largest obstacles in construction was the uneven grading oftentimes encountered in Hope Ranch. However, our skilled team was able to shape the land and create tiered garden beds that not only layered the landscape visually, but also allowed for more effective drainage leading to a healthier soil. Our irrigation was made so that in the hot sun of Summer, the homeowners could use less water to water their plantings while assuring sustainability of their green foliage. Lastly, the included a tranquil space for seating and contemplation - custom built and covered with climbing vines - to entertain or rest, and fully enjoy relaxing in their own outdoor spectacle. The transformation presents an inviting blend of function and beauty - with the spectacle of sun and shadow constantly changing onsite throughout the day.
