Narrative: Glen Oaks Residence by GEL: Griffin Enright Landscape The Glen Oaks Residence, located in an exciting neighborhood, is a developed by the landscape artists at GEL: Griffin Enright Landscape. This innovative transformation demonstrates an incredible blend of contemporary forms and ecological principles that enhance the elegance of the home's architecture while providing a peaceful garden setting. The involved a redesign of the front and back yards, with a focus on drought-tolerant native Southern California plants. Walkways made from reclaimed teak define the garden spaces in connection with the lushness of the vegetation and the bloom of the flowers. The use of permeable pavers adds beauty while facilitating sustainable water use consistent with ecological ethos of the neighborhood. One of the challenges was the sloped site. The engineers at GEL creatively developed tiered planting beds made from local stone retaining walls that complement the natural environment. Thanks to their expertise, not only did we reclaim usable outdoor space, but the design develops stunning visual interest. The final design features a stunning outdoor garden space with a peaceful water element that provides a gentle water fall for relaxation and thoughtfulness. The extended patio area with custom outdoor furniture made for hanging out with friends gets upgraded when the lighting switches on above you and gives this area its own welcoming atmosphere. The Glen Oaks Residence demonstrates the high quality of craftsmanship and care that GEL provides for you to feel satisfied with a functional landscape that enhances both your life and your property value.
