Santa Ynez Winter Scene New Year’s Card The Aldrich Company - Landscape Design completed the Santa Ynez Winter Scene New Year’s Card to successfully change a residential property into a beautiful winter wonderland. Located in the scenic Santa Ynez Valley, the landscaping was developed to showcase the beauty of the off-season while blending with nature. Our team of landscapes planned a selection of native plants, evergreen trees, and seasonal flower displays to ensure seasonal color. The included the installation of stunning white birch trees with excellent bark contrast between evergreens and winter blooms such as hellebores and cyclamen. To add visual interest, soft ambient lighting was incorporated into the landscape creating dreamy evening landscapes just for the holidays. Our biggest challenge was winter temperatures that can drop, especially during the late fall and winter seasons. We had to be thoughtful in selecting hardy plants that would be able to survive potential frost and winter elements. Our process was to source hardy varieties and protect the plants upon installation so they would thrive regardless of temperature. The result was a beautiful display that thrilled our clients and made a great background for the New Year’s card. The combination of effective seasonal design created a welcoming escape that reflected holiday warmth and joys for the Santa Ynez area. We are proud to provide excellent quality service, and this demonstrates our commitment to high-quality work in landscape design, largely for the Santa Barbara region.
