About This Project

Cass Lake Contemporary Home Complete by Michael J. Dul & Associates, Inc. Located on the idyllic Cass Lake, Cass Lake Contemporary Home is a residential by Michael J. Dul & Associates, Inc. We transformed the existing landscape features to complement the clean, modern architecture of the home and to enhance the natural beauty of the lake. There are several elements that were specifically selected for the 's high quality, including a vibrant water element that weaves through the landscape for visual and aural interest. Local bluestone was selected for the site to create beautiful stone pathways and patios for lounging, relaxing, and having guests. Native plants species were used to enhance aesthetic interest as well as biodiversity while maintaining low levels of maintenance. One of the challenges we faced on the site was the slope leading down to the lake. To address this need, our team designed tiered garden beds in the sloped landscape to retain soil while aesthetically creating a place for a diversity of plant varieties. The repurposed wood used for retaining walls also enhanced this amenity and created an organic connection between the hardscape and the lush landscape. The result is a beautiful, modern outdoor oasis consisting of landscaping integrated into the architecture. The water features, stone pathways, and parcels of visual plant interest has added to the lifestyle enjoyment of the clients for their life at Cass Lake. Michael J.
