Irving Place Capital Office Terrace The Irving Place Capital Office Terrace through PFI Plant Fantasies, Inc. Covering all of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island City, the Bronx and beyond, PFI turned this rooftop terrace into a lush urban greenbone and an essential part of the family's functional architecture. Featured on the was a completely native plant palette of hardy perennials and shrubs, which where hand selected for maximum climate adaptability and minimum maintenance in the New York area. Sustainable water management solutions were achieved with high-quality materials such as durable composite decking and permeable pavers, which improved the appearance of the terrace while preventing surface runoff. The limited space and weight the structure was designed to cope with were, however, some key challenges encountered throughout the . PFI dealt with these constraints by using an extremely lightweight soil mixture and based on strategically placed vegetation to increase vegetation coverage without sacrificing structural strength. The end product is an ideal combination of comfort and professionalism with relaxed break rooms with lounge chairs, built-in planters, and soft lighting for anyone who walks through the doors. This revamped terrace provides such a perfect atmosphere to the office space othat it helps in improving employee well being with helping them relax from all the hustle bustle happening outside. The client couldn't be happier with the results and praised PFI for their professionalism, attention to detail, and the execution of what is sure to be a centerpiece of their office for years to come.
