Bloomfield Hills Pool House The Bloomfield Hills Pool House is a beautiful landscaping design by Michael J. Dul & Associates, Inc. that represents grace and function in outdoor living. Centered in Bloomfield Hills, the design was developed to improve the existing pool area, while fluidly connecting with its natural surrounding. At the heart of the design is a stunning poolside patio made of UV-stabilized natural stone pavers that provide a solid yet graceful space for lounging. Surrounding the pool, we included custom cedar decking that adds warmth and rustic appeal, which is also favorable to the refined lines of the modern pool shape. To develop a peaceful retreat, we created a plush and abundant vegetative cover, using locally sourced native plants that do not require excessive maintenance or care, and add visual interest year-round. The planting beds included a profusion of ornamental warm grasses, flowering perennials, and evergreen trees for privacy and to enrich the ambience of the area. One of the challenges of the was the sloping terrain bordering the pool area. Our tradespeople expertly graded the landscape to facilitate drainage away from the pool to prevent standing water a necessity to protect the pool structure and adjacent features. We also offered a variety of ambient light through sleek LED lights to illuminate paths and the pool area for night use, enhancing safety and establishing a whimsical atmosphere at night. This yielded an appealing outdoor oasis that ultimately surpassed the client’s vision, leaving ample space for entertaining, or enjoying dinner by the pool on quiet evenings. The Bloomfield Hills Pool House demonstrates that, for the team at Michael J. Dul & Associates, Inc., creating a place where craft and area can meld together as an experience is a source of pride.
